Moda's Market Party

Over the next couple of days I thought I would post some pictures of Moda's market party. It was so wonderful of Mr. Dunn to hold this for us and everyone really loved getting to visit with all our friends from Moda and with other shop owners. Quilt Market With Mary Jane

Quilt market was so nice and such wonderful people. One of the people we got to meet was Moda's new designers Mary Jane. She is so sweet and down to earth. She lives in Idaho and does organic farming. She is a great writer and now designs fabric. We have ordered her line which will arrive next year it is called Glamping. A combination of glamour and camping. I managed to take a few pics of her with a camper which are really great. She lives in a camper, not this small and has a bed and breakfast that she runs. Such a busy lady but still has time to visit and talk with everybody.

Yes that is me with Mary Jane. She was so wonderful about taking pictures. The fabric you see is all part of her new line of fabric and it is wonderful. The whole inside of the camper is decorated with it.

This is so nice they even added a BBQ grille so it looks like she is cooking .

Quilt Market

I hope everyone that went to Quilt Market had a great time. It was wonderful and I wish you all could go. There are such nice people and so many new ideas for us as a shop owner. MODA was great. They had a dinner for all the shop owners on Saturday night and the theme was western so they had a mechanical bull. It was a blast. I will post pictures soon. First I would like to congratulate MODA for winning best booth. They did such a great job and have such hard working people helping them. HAPPY QUILTING

Winter Elegance Table Runner

I stayed up last night to finish this. I used a free pattern on United Notions website called Woodland Holiday by Sentimental Studios. The fabric that I used is WINTER ELEGANCE by Sentimental Studios. I going to use this on the big table at Christmas and try to make something fun to go the the kids table. Our new quilt kits are great. I really want to think such wonderful designers for doing a great job. We're looking forward to meeting some of the designers at quilt market in Houston, Texas. I just can't wait to get to Houston and see all the new items coming out. You can never have to much fabric or quilting notions as far as I'm concerned. Winter Elegance Table Runner

I've started a table runner for Christmas using WINTER ELEGANCE by Sentimental Studios for MODA. This is so much fun to make and really simple. I just have to find the time to get it finished. Market is this weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing new fabric and meeting new designers

I just finished a wonderful little project for Halloween. I have used the panel from HAPPY HOWLOWEEN by Deb Strain. My granddaughter Nykole is doing a project with pumpkins in her 2nd grade class so she is carrying this to school so they can hang it in class. Our new arrival is here. BUDDING BEAUTIES by Ro Gregg for Paintbrush Studio is a wonderful fabric with great colors. It has beautiful Hydrangeas in pink, blue and purple. We have a panel that would make a great wall hanging or use it for the center of a quilt. We also have prints with Hydrangeas all over. I really hope you like this line as much as I do. ENCHANTED GARDEN

Doesn't this look just wonderful. I can just imagine sitting in a garden like this on a nice warm day drinking a glass of iced tea and relaxing. It would be so hard not to fall asleep. It;s getting closer to market and Christmas. I always put off till the last minute to do my projects for myself. Now that I'm involved in Girl Scouts with my granddaughter Nykole I hope maybe I can get these 7 year olds into learning how to sew some simple little things. We are having a sale on all of our Christmas fabric and I and going to start some lap quilts and table runners for my own house out of the Christmas fabric. I love having lap quilts around and sitting around the fieplace to keep warm. Here's one of the groups I'm thinking about using for a lap quilt. I't called HOLLY JOLLY by INGRID SLYDER from MODA.

It's Friday! Thank goodness for the weekend. Maybe I can find time to do some sewing of my own.  This year has gone so fast and it isn't long until Christmas so it's time to start on some projects so I won't be up till midnight when it gets closer trying to finish them in time. I'm thinking about making a table runner using the panel from HOLLY JOLLY and putting a boarder around it.

We now have the new Halloween fabric called "Happy Howloween" by Deb Strain  for Moda Fabric cann't wait to get started on a project. I thought maybe I'd make my granddaughter a witches costume because that is what she wants to be every Halloween. She really loves purple so I thought this purple with she spiders would look really cool. Moda has such cool looking fabric cann't wait till market.

Calypso

We hope everyone is ready for some new exciting fabric. In the next couple of months we will be adding several Christmas lines and a Halloween line so check back for a preview of what's coming and when. Welcome to Bear Country From Moda Fabric

GRAND OPENING!!!

Opening Soon!!

We are so excited to share the news that we are opening an online quilt store.  Through the years my love of fabrics and the quilting world have driven me to this new adventure.  Lots of work but tons of fun.  We are starting with OUR FAVORITE company Moda and will be expanding on fabric lines in the next few months.  Please drop by and visit the site www.fabricquiltshop.com.   It is still a work in progress but we hope to be up and running this week.
